We look for pieces that have something to say through their form, material, craftsmanship or regional character.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe collection includes vintage brass lamps, ritual oil lamps, devotional lamps, temple lamps and other traditional Indian lighting objects. Some are modest and beautifully made, while others have elaborate sculptural forms, with birds, deities, animals and other traditional motifs incorporated into their design.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhat interests us is not simply how a lamp looks, but where it belongs in the larger tradition of Indian craftsmanship.
