Welcome to The Blue Trunk!
Iām Ujval Anand, the founderāand Iām so glad youāre here.
The Blue Trunk isnāt just about artifacts; itās about stories, memories, and the magic of Indiaās heritage. My journey began in the corporate world, but my heart always belonged to travel, culture, and art. Collecting pieces of history filled me with a joy I couldnāt ignoreāand that joy grew into The Blue Trunk.
At the heart of our Bombay gallery sits an old blue trunkāa symbol of everything we stand for. Today, Iām thrilled to share that same charm with you, wherever you are in India. Through our website, you can now explore and experience the collection anytime, from anywhere.
So, take a wander, discover what speaks to you, and letās keep the magic aliveātogether.
With warmth,
Ujval Anand

This is a fine mask of Jumadi, an androgynous deity revered in the Bhuta cult. This cult is practiced by the Tuluva community in South coastal Karnataka and also in parts of North Kerala. The mask has well defined features including oval eyes, a large protruding tongue, a large moustache, and upturned curved 'fangs' at each end. The forehead bears a teardrop shaped mark, representing the third eye. The mask is surrounded by nine serpent heads forming a prabhavali type halo around the Daiva.
