Our Vintage Framed Objects collection brings together an eclectic group of Indian cultural objects discovered through our travels, collecting and years of looking for things that are unusual, beautifully made or simply difficult to come across. The collection includes framed and mounted wooden and metal objects, statuettes, textiles, decorative pieces, traditional objects and other vintage cultural finds.
These are objects that were not necessarily made as art in the conventional sense. Many belonged to everyday life, religious practice, traditional craft or local culture before finding a place on a wall or in a collection. Their materials, forms and traces of age often reveal as much as the objects themselves.
We look for pieces with character: an old carved wooden figure, a metal object with a beautifully aged surface, a traditional textile preserved in a frame, a small statuette or an unusual cultural object whose original context makes it all the more interesting.
Sourced from old homes, families, collectors, local markets and through our travels across India, each piece is selected for its craftsmanship, age, regional character and the story it carries.
