This brass collectible is a vintage lamp depicting Goddess Gajalakshmi, one of the eight manifestations of Goddess Lakshmi, symbolic of abundance, prosperity and fertility. The face and the reverse side of the lamp has the goddess seated in a yogic padmasana posture flanked by elephants on either sides. The two ends of the lamp have dwarpalakas depicted on them guarding the goddess. The top of the lamp has a beautifully etched yaali, a mythical creature seen in many south indian temples. The serrated edges on the face of the lamp is a depiction of the eternal cosmic fire. The base of the lamp is deep to hold enough oil that could burn for a few hours.
Please note that vintage pieces may show signs of wear and tear and discolouration owing to its age.
