Framed Vintage Marapachi Wooden Figure of Vishnu

This vintage Marapachi wooden figure of Lord Vishnu is carved in the traditional South Indian manner and presented against a deep, bright red cloth backing, a colour historically associated with auspiciousness and ritual significance. Unlike miniature Marapachi forms, this example is of a larger scale, giving the figure a pronounced visual presence consistent with its devotional function.
