Vintage Lakshmi Statuette | Goddess Lakshmi on Lotus | Indian Devotional Art

This vintage statuette of Goddess Lakshmi depicts her standing gracefully on a fully blossomed lotus, one of the most recognisable forms of Lakshmi iconography. The lotus is traditionally associated with purity, abundance and prosperity, while her standing posture conveys an active, auspicious presence.

Lakshmi holds lotus flowers in her upper hands, while her lower hands are held in traditional gestures associated with blessing and generosity. Revered as the Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune and well-being, Lakshmi is widely worshipped in Indian households and temples, particularly in association with prosperity and auspicious beginnings.

The statuette is mounted against deep blue raw silk and presented in a rustic gold-toned frame. The combination of the sculptural figure, rich textile backing and traditional framing gives the devotional object a distinctive visual presence while retaining its character as a vintage Indian religious artefact.

This framed Lakshmi statuette is well suited to collectors of vintage Indian devotional art, Hindu religious objects, Goddess Lakshmi imagery and traditional Indian sculpture.
