Welcome to The Blue Trunk!
I’m Ujval Anand, founder and curator.
What began as a personal passion for collecting has grown into The Blue Trunk, a collection of Indian vintage art, ritual objects, masks, wooden carvings and other cultural finds. Over the years, travel and encounters with collectors, families and artisans have shaped the way I discover and curate these pieces.
At our gallery in Aarey, Mumbai, an old blue trunk remains a symbol of the journey that started it all. Through this website, I’m delighted to share these discoveries with collectors and curious minds, wherever they may be.
I invite you to explore the collection and discover something that speaks to you.

This devotional art print depicts Nammāḻvār at the center, surrounded by the lineage of Srivaishnava Āchāryas and the 63 Shaiva Nāyanmārs. Nammāḻvār (c. 9th century CE) is one of the twelve Āḻvārs whose Tamil hymns form the Divya Prabandham. The guru lineage represents the unbroken sampradāya tradition, while the Nāyanmārs were Shaiva poet-saints of the 6th–8th centuries whose hymns shaped the Bhakti movement in Tamil Nadu. The combination reflects the shared devotional heritage of the Tamil saints across sects.
The print is mounted and encased in a rustic golden frame.
Dimensions(incld frame): 16 in(H), 13.5 in(L)
