This early to mid-20th century brass Mukhakriti (mask) of Goddess Mahalakshmi is a finely detailed devotional object featuring the serene and calming face of the goddess beneath an elaborate peaked crown. Mahalakshmi, revered as a supreme mother goddess and a manifestation of Lakshmi, is traditionally associated with prosperity, abundance, auspiciousness and the sustaining force of the universe.
