Welcome to The Blue Trunk!
I’m Ujval Anand, the founder—and I’m so glad you’re here.
The Blue Trunk isn’t just about artifacts; it’s about stories, memories, and the magic of India’s heritage. My journey began in the corporate world, but my heart always belonged to travel, culture, and art. Collecting pieces of history filled me with a joy I couldn’t ignore—and that joy grew into The Blue Trunk.
At the heart of our Bombay gallery sits an old blue trunk—a symbol of everything we stand for. Today, I’m thrilled to share that same charm with you, wherever you are in India. Through our website, you can now explore and experience the collection anytime, from anywhere.
So, take a wander, discover what speaks to you, and let’s keep the magic alive—together.
With warmth,
Ujval Anand

This handcrafted wooden wall bracket is carved from acacia wood and decorated with detailed floral motifs across its entire surface. The carving reflects traditional Indian ornamental vocabulary, where vegetal patterns are used to create rhythm, depth, and visual balance in architectural elements.
Wall brackets of this type historically served both decorative and functional roles in Indian homes and temple interiors. They were commonly used to support oil lamps, idols, or small display objects, contributing to layered interior compositions.
The lower section incorporates a sturdy metal hook, allowing for the suspension of a lamp, lantern, or hanging décor element. The upper portion features a flat 5-inch square platform, suitable for placing a small sculpture, diya, planter, or devotional object.
Crafted in durable acacia wood, the bracket combines structural strength with refined carving detail. It functions as both a practical support element and a standalone decorative feature.
Part of our Living Crafts collection, this piece reflects the continued relevance of traditional Indian woodwork in contemporary interiors.
Ideal for those seeking handcrafted Indian décor, temple-inspired accents, or architectural wooden elements.
